Foster Parent Training
Description:
This interactive training equips caregivers
and parents with the knowledge and tools to
be effective, trauma-informed advocates in
their child’s education.
Participants will explore how trauma impacts
brain development and behavior, learn how to
recognize the unique needs that trauma may
create in each child, and develop personalized
advocacy strategies.
Through guided reflection and hands-on
activities, each participant will create an
individualized action plan to support their
child’s educational success. This session
empowers caregivers to be positive,
proactive partners in the school
community.
