Learning Description

Many children suffer from a pathology classified by the APA as Reactive Attachment Disorder. This disorder is rooted in disrupted attachment in childhood between the ages of 0 to 5. This three-hour workshop will provide the students with an understanding of the origins of the pathology, family reactions, signs, symptoms and interventions.

Learning Objectives

1. Participants will develop an understanding of the origin of Reactive Attachment Disorder.
2. Participants will develop an understanding of the influence of neglect, abuse and parental separation on children’s behaviors
3. Participants will learn best practices for children suffer for RAD
4. Participants will understand the impact of RAD in parenting.
5. Participant’s will learning some suggested parenting methods
